The 15th International Resistance Film Festival concluded its work with the introduction of the winners. According to “Watan Emrooz”, the closing ceremony of the 15th International Resistance Film Festival was held in the Milad Tower in Tehran with the presence of military and national officials, members of the film professions, families of martyrs, as well as filmmakers, artists and media figures. Accordingly, in the Iranian Cinema Competition section, the Best Cinematographer award went to Alireza Zarrindast for the film “Cervu Zir Ab”, the Best Actor award went to Naser Babaiyan for the film “Dayan”, the Best Screenplay award went to Monir Ghaidi and Arsalan Amiri for the film “Villaiha”, the Special Award for Best Director went to Mohammad Ali Bashe-Ahangar for the film “Cervu Zir Ab” and the Best Director award went to Bahram Tavakoli for the film “Tangeh Abu Qarib”. The Best Film award of this period of the festival was also given to Saeed Malekan for the film “Tangeh Abu Qarib”. In the Iranian documentary film section, the director’s award went to Mohammad Mehdi Khaleghi for the documentary “My Son”, the special director’s commendation went to Mostafa Eshraq for “Beytona”, and honorary director’s diplomas went to Mohammad Reza Imamgholi for “Mr. Prime Minister”, Vahid Farahani for “Living with Patience” and Reza Farahmand for “Women with Gunpowder Earrings”. Also, in the international documentary film section, awards were given to Jeremy Williams, director of “On the Edge of a Knife”, Khadija al-Salami, director of “Yemen, Children and War”, Dan Cohen and Max Blumenthal, directors of “Killing Gaza”, and Reza Farahmand, director of “Women with Gunpowder Earrings”. In the International Cinema section of this year’s Resistance Film Festival, the statuette and honorary diploma for the best screenplay went to Basil Al-Khatib, the writer of the film “Father”, the honorary diploma for the best director went to Kim Druzhinin and Andrey Shalopa, the directors of the film “28 Panfilov’s Men”, and the statuette for the best director went to Alvaro Brechner, the director of “The 12-Year Night”. The special award in this section, including the statuette and honorary diploma for the best film, went to Saeed Malekan, the producer of “The Strait of Abu Ghraib”, and the statuette for the best film went to Seyyed Mahmoud Razavi, the producer of “The Adventure of Midsummer”. In the New Narrative section of the 15th Resistance Festival, the special award went to Ali Dehkordi, the actor of the film “Fish Lake”, and the statuette and honorary diploma for the best director of the first film went to Monir Ghaidi, the director of “The Villas”. In the Light Show section of this year’s festival, a special award was given to Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, the director of “The Adventure of Midsummer”. Also in the Emad Mughniyeh section, the best film award went to Vahid Farahani, director of “Living with Patience,” and Reza Farahmand, director of “Women with Gunpowder Earrings.” Also, the “Face of the Resistance of the Year 2018” award was given to Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, a commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces, as the Face of the Resistance of the Year. In this section, Admiral Sayyari, Sardar Ghaib Parvar, and Mohammad Khazaei came on stage. Since Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was not present, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi came on stage to receive the award on his behalf.
