In a conversation with the public relations of the 18th International Resistance Film Festival, Peyman Falsafi, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized the prominent role of art festivals in introducing various topics, especially resistance, and said: “Holding art festivals is an opportunity to introduce various messages, and the topic of resistance, which has been discussed in our country for many years, especially after the Islamic Revolution, has now become a symbol of confronting oppression and anti-arrogance.”
He continued: “Resistance against oppression as an attractive topic can be conveyed to global audiences through the language of art and cinema. The language of film and cinema is a common language that is understood all over the world, and the Resistance Film Festival has been able to succeed in this regard during its 18th edition.”
Falsafi added: “The various works that come to this festival from different countries can be a rich artistic and cultural treasure for future generations. We can collect the literature of the Resistance Front, its sacrifice, and the martyrs of the Resistance in whatever language they speak, and through the art of film and media; create greater unity, friendship, and harmony among nations.”
He concluded by saying: “This festival has been able to convey the Resistance Front’s demand for justice to the whole world and has made a significant contribution to strengthening this cultural and artistic movement.”
