Fatima Mohammadbeigi, a representative of the people of Qazvin, Abek and Alborz in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasizing the unique role of art in explaining the culture of resistance, considered the Resistance Film Festival a platform for reflecting the cruel tragedies of the Zionist regime and awakening consciences, and emphasized the necessity of discursively creating resistance through art.

In an interview with the public relations of the 18th International Resistance Film Festival, Fatima Mohammadbeigi, a representative of the people of Sharif Qazvin, Abek and Alborz in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, stated about the importance of art in conveying the messages of resistance: “Resistance is one of the ideologies of the Islamic school and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and today in the geography of resistance, art plays a fundamental role in keeping human truths alive. Today, we are witnessing attacks and war crimes in Gaza, Lebanon and other regions that threaten human identity and humanity, and art can show the world the necessity of resistance with its special images and composition of scenes.”

Mohammad Beigi added: “The true reflection of events and showing the dimensions of disasters through art can awaken sleeping consciences and ultimately create global empathy and consensus against the infidel front. These types of activities are among the best results of the Resistance Film Festival.”

Referring to the needs of today’s society in the field of resistance, he stated: “Today, resistance requires explanation, streamlining, discourse-building, and awareness-raising of the masses. These issues can only be properly achieved through the language of art.”

Mohammad Beigi concluded by emphasizing: “The Resistance Film Festival can play an effective role in creating a sense of empathy and global alignment with the oppressed against global oppression and crimes, and greater steps can be taken in this direction.”
