Resistance Cinema: Pluralistic and Unifying
Jalal Ghafari emphasized in his speech:
- Resistance cinema is both pluralistic and unifying. This cinema is rooted in the field spirit and the endogenous social institutions of the people. It is from this very foundation that enduring and meaningful narratives are created.
- Resistance cinema tells the story of the delicate and tireless spirit of the people on this front. An example of this great spirit is the martyrdom of figures like Martyr Sanwar, whose memory and path are an inspiration for the art of resistance.
In another part of his speech at the press conference of the 18th Resistance International Film Festival, Jalal Ghafari stated:
Before our missiles destroy Israel, we reveal the ugly face of this regime with our films. Resistance cinema is a powerful tool for enlightening and informing the world about the truth of this occupying regime.
He emphasized that the Resistance Film Festival serves as a platform for artistically expressing this struggle and exposing the injustices of global Zionism.

Media: The Frontline of the Struggle
Dr. Hosseini, Head of Sacred Defense Cinema, stressed the importance of the media’s role in the struggle, stating:
- The media are the ones leading the fight. If we want to preserve our identity and protect Iran, we must take cinema and imagery seriously. Cinema is a powerful tool that can show our identity and power to the world.
- We must create images of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa, and present our narratives to the world. We must not allow the Zionist movement to easily hide massacres and crimes with its own images and media, deceiving public opinion.
