The closing ceremony of the 16th International Resistance Film Festival was held in compliance with health protocols and in the presence of directors, judges, and winners of various sections.
Basiji Filmmakers Section
In the animation section, Basiji filmmakers, Esmaili, and Golpayegani were the judges of this section.
Balance, Return, Kash, Ranhama, and Salmani were the nominees for this award, and ultimately the statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival went to Barzan Rostami for the animation “Balance.”
In the Basiji Filmmakers Video section, whose award was presented by Ansiyeh Shahhosseini, director of the Basiji Filmmakers Section, and Abbas Omrani, the judge of this section, the Passion for Freedom, Motherland, Land, Smell of Flowers, and Two Companions were the nominees for the award, and ultimately the statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival went to Morteza Moghaddisi for producing the video “Yaadha.”
In the Basiji Filmmakers’ Screenplay section, the nominees were Chater Sefid, Gotal, Nameh Morteza, Tamam Maryamha, and Twelfth Esmaeil. The statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival in this section, attended by Ansiyeh Shahhosseini, Ishaqi, and Fahim, went to Morteza Pajoohan for the screenplay “Godal.”
In the Basiji Filmmakers’ Short Documentary section, Ansiyeh Shahhosseini, Habib Valinejad, and Fatemi Navisi were present as judges on the stage. From among the nominees in this section, Zakhm Almas, Those Six People, Chamar Sarbaz, Banu, and Khaderat Badiyeh, with appreciation for “Khaderat Badiyeh,” they presented the statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival to Ghadrat Bagheri for the short documentary “Chamer Sarbaz.”
In the short fiction film section, Ansiyeh Shahhosseini, Habibollah Bahmani, and Jahangir Almasi, the judges of this section, after introducing Molla Khadija, A Rooster Had, A Lifetime, Nahst, Da, Pirmard, and Dikhe, as candidates for the award, presented the statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival to Zania Lotfi for the short fiction film “Nahst.”
In the telefilm section, Ben Sai, Advocate, Barf Mi Bard, Terminal Gharb, and Roots were also nominated for the award, and finally Ansiyeh Shahhosseini and Seyedzadeh; the judges of this section presented the statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival to Effat Sufi for producing “Roots.”
Pen Narrative Section
Furthermore, while introducing the candidates for the pen narrative section, the awards for the winners of this section were introduced.
In the screenplay section, where Abbas Omrani; The director of this section and Behzad Behzadpour and Eslamloo, judges of this section, were introduced, Red Handkerchiefs, Saturday List and Three Quarters of War were introduced as candidates, and finally the statuette, honorary diploma and cash prize of the festival were awarded to Davud Jalili and Mohsen Ghazanfari for the screenplay “Three Quarters of War”.
In the telefilm screenplay section, the statuette, honorary diploma and cash prize of the festival in the competition between On Babay Man Nist, Tire O Tar, Shahabuddin, went to Maryam for the screenplay “On Babay Man Nist”.
In the adaptation section, while Dashtban, Hasti and Dashtay Chobi were introduced as the nominees for best work, the statuette, honorary diploma and cash prize of the festival were awarded to Nyusha Abdollahzadeh for the screenplay “Hasti”.
In the short story screenplay section, where Abbas Omrani, Rahbari Ghanbari, Reza Aghaei, and Mustafa Jamshidi, judges of this section, came to the stage to present the award, Wounds, Dreams, Jerks, Little Shadows of the Moon, and Tired Heart were introduced as nominees, and the statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival went to Mohsen Ghazanfari for the screenplay “Dreams.”
The Sayyid al-Shohdayi Resistance Section
Following the ceremony, it was time to introduce the nominees and present the awards in the Sayyid al-Shohdayi Resistance section.
In the documentary Sayyid al-Shohdayi Resistance section, where Bakhshi, the director of this section, and Ahmad Haeri, one of the judges, came to the stage to present the award, Abedan al-Kuhnaz, Badieh Memories, Neither Small Nor Big, Why Syria, and Bullets were introduced as nominees, and the statuette, honorary diploma, and cash prize of the festival went to Mohammad Mehdi Khaleghi for the documentary “Neither Small Nor Big.”
In the music video section of the Resistance Martyrs, whose award was presented by Bakhshi and Behrouz Khabbaz Khoob, one of the judges of this section, while introducing Buzak, Mes Mahtab, Berim Balabalatar, Roz Mabada, Zindagi Zibeset as the nominees of this section, the statuette, honorary diploma and cash prize of the festival were presented to Sadegh Roshan for “Buzak”.
In the short fiction film section of the Resistance Martyrs, in the presence of Bakhshi and Ataullah Salmanian, the judges of this section, Naji, Bagh Behesht, Nakam and Joury were introduced as the nominees, with Sajjad Esmailbeigi winning the statuette, honorary diploma and cash prize of the festival for the short film “Najji”.
In the short script section of the Resistance Martyrs, Naji, Bagh Behesht, Nakam, Joury and Braids were also nominated for the title of best, and in the end, the judges awarded the statuette, honorary diploma and cash prize of the festival to Hassan Najafi for the script “Bagh Behesht”.
Main Competition Section
During the ceremony, while introducing the main competition section candidates, the best awards were presented.
To present the awards for the main competition video section, Mohammad Javad Kasesaz, director of this section, and Majid Akhshabi and Baharangiz from the judges came to the stage. The Silent Flight, Fath Gharib, Khaneh Mellat, Delsouzi, Shab Barani were among the nominees in this section, and the statuette, honorary diploma, and festival cash prize went to Reyhaneh Mashhadi Ebrahimi for the video “Silent Flight”.
In the Best Video Direction category of the main competition, Khaneh Mellat, Bezak, The Silent Flight, Fath Gharib, Let’s Be Together, Delsouzi were nominated, and the statuette, honorary diploma, and festival cash prize went to Davoud Ahmadi for directing the video “Khaneh Mellat”.
In the animation section of the main competition, where Mohammad Javad Kase-saz, Ali Nouri Oskouei, and Jamshid Khoshdel, judges of this section, presented the award. The Unusual Crime of Mr. James, Sunflower, This Way and That, Wish, When Butterflies Are Blown by the Wind were nominated and received a statuette, an honorary diploma, and a cash prize from the festival.
