At the opening of the 17th Resistance Film Festival, Sardar Fadavi said: We must soon hold a Resistance Film Festival in Palestine because the Zionist regime will not see its 80th anniversary.
The 17th International Resistance Film Festival was held in Assaluyeh on Friday, March 12, with the presence of a group of cultural, artistic, military, economic, political figures, festival directors, and Iranian and foreign filmmakers who qualified for this event.
This event began its 17th experience with the presence of Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Seyyed Mohammad Yashar Naderi, Head of the Narrative of Fateh Cultural Foundation, Rear Admiral Morteza Zare, Deputy Coordinator of the IRGC Navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Bargahi, Commander of the Fourth Region of the IRGC Navy, Jalal Ghafari Ghadir, Secretary of the Festival, Abdolali Ali Asgari, CEO of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company of Iran, and Ansieh Shah Hosseini, a filmmaker in the field of resistance in the Persian Gulf.
Jalal Ghafari Qadir, Secretary of the 17th International Resistance Film Festival, said in this ceremony: It is an honor to host filmmakers who have gathered in this event these days, coinciding with the Shaban holidays and on the eve of the birth of Hazrat Ali Akbar.
He added: The mission of the Resistance Film Festival is to talk about the resistance, the Islamic Revolution, Palestine, and sustainability. To say that cinema is not political is a lie because the whole world uses this feature to its advantage, as we are witnessing in the Ukraine war, so how better it is for us to use the discourse of the Islamic Revolution and resistance in cinema.
Ghafari Qadir added: The 17th Resistance Festival is a new beginning of its 10-year horizon, which was very well received.
Stating that resistance is a positive discourse, the Secretary of the 17th International Resistance Film Festival added: Cinema needs a theme, and what more beautiful theme than the Persian Gulf, which has been one of the important points of the Islamic Iranian resistance front.
He added: We are starting the 17th Resistance Festival in a place in Iran that was once occupied by the Portuguese and their like.
Simultaneously with the presence of artists and the festival organizing committee in the Persian Gulf, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also attended this beautiful area to inaugurate important local economic and industrial events, which are another manifestation of resistance and can be the theme and subject of artists and filmmakers.
Ghafari Qadir said about some of the programs of the final stage of the 17th Resistance Festival: One of the side programs of the festival is to have a maritime patrol in the Persian Gulf with the Revolutionary Guards’ warships and fast-moving vessels.
He concluded by saying: The closing ceremony of the festival will be held on the Shahid Rudaki ship at the same time as the Mid-Shaban dinner.

Hojat Nazari, CEO of Pazargad Industrial Operations Company and Chairman of the South Pars Regional Strategic Council, welcomed the Iranian and foreign guests at the ceremony and said: I hope to be a good host for this important international event in the fertile Bushehr region, alongside its warm and hospitable people.
The oil industry considers social activities to be one of its important responsibilities and has made and continues to make many efforts in this regard.
Nazari added: I ask you, the good artists and filmmakers of the Resistance Film Festival, to find ideas from the efforts of the petrochemical industry in this region and its social responsibility activities and create appropriate works. We are fully at the service of the Resistance Film Festival filmmaking groups so that they can produce a lasting work.
*The Hamas Martyrs and Veterans Office appreciates the Resistance Festival’s approach
Suleiman from the Hamas Martyrs and Veterans Office also attended the ceremony and said: Thirty years ago, we captured many of their soldiers in the fight against the Zionist regime, and with our resistance and the sacrifice of many martyrs, we will work to liberate occupied Jerusalem.
He added: The Hamas Martyrs and Veterans Office is extremely grateful for the festival’s approach and discourse of resistance and their special attention to the issue of resistance and Palestine.
In the end, Suleiman presented a commemorative plaque and a gift to Jalal Ghafari Qadir, the secretary of the 17th International Resistance Film Festival.
*The center of the Resistance Front in the Islamic world is Iran
Abdolali Ali Asgari, CEO of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company of Iran, also attended the ceremony and said: Civilizational studies say that the future of the region will be accompanied by the increase in Muslim power, which was initiated by the Islamic Revolution, which is why the arrogant powers, led by the United States, have been working hard to prevent it.
Ali Asgari added: The center of the Resistance Front and the increase in Muslim power in the Islamic world is Iran, and although many plans are being made to stop it, we are witnessing various advances in various dimensions day by day.
Ali Asgari continued: The second step of the revolution, which has been proposed by the Supreme Leader, is to defeat the propaganda powers of the media and their propaganda siege, and the Resistance Film Festival is one of the ways to break this siege.
He added: “Many fortunes are spent on the propaganda and media siege of Islamic Iran, but you, the artists of the resistance film, can use the Jihad of explanation to express the progress of Islamic Iran and its epic creations and pay attention to its very valuable achievements. The cinema of the Resistance Front must expose the ugly face of the hegemonic regime with its art and artistically depict a bright future for Islamic Iran. To do this, we must focus on progress, and this requires referring to history.”
Ali Asgari added: “We cannot talk about Iran’s progress and ignore the history of its backwardness in various historical periods, including the Qajar period.”
He added: “The global thinking of the Islamic Iranian resistance to resist global arrogance motivated the West to take comprehensive measures to prevent progress and promote despair in the Iranian nation, but this did not happen and their efforts did not bear fruit. This event must be represented and explained by you, the artists of cinema.”
The CEO of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company of Iran added: “This same region of Asaluyeh was once just a barren desert, and foreigners refused to help us provide its infrastructure. However, relying on local knowledge and ability and young Iranian elites, today we are witnessing a special industrial and economic region. What has happened in this region has a grandeur that cannot be put into words, but it can be narrated in truth and create hope through the artistic expression of you, the filmmakers of the Resistance Festival.
He concluded by saying: The 17th Resistance Film Festival hosts artists from 25 countries around the world, whom we are hosting these days, and it is hoped that this important event will end in influential global events.

Khaled Qaddoumi, Hamas representative in Iran, also said at the ceremony: Resistance is a radical strategy for standing against global arrogance, of which Palestine is one of its axes.
Qaddoumi added: We have dedicated thousands of martyrs to the resistance so far. The discourse of resistance is our only and best way to fight until the final victory and liberation of the Palestinian people and nation, because Palestine has experienced all the ways, including compromise, and will never achieve anything. Compromise has no place in the discourse of Palestinian resistance, and resistance will continue until the end of the occupation of the occupied lands of Jerusalem by the child-killing Zionist regime.
Referring to the many martyrs that Palestine has given in its resistance against the Zionist regime, he said: You media people must show the image of the child-killing Zionist regime that slaps helpless and defenseless women so that everyone knows what kind of oppressors Palestine has been captured by.
Qadoumi added: Everyone talks about the Holocaust, while Nazism still exists and no one talks about it. You must find and show the truth of the Holocaust and its connection to Palestine.
He continued: The international media hides the truth and portrays what they need, but we must show the truth to everyone with your art.
Qadoumi added: We Palestinians want to live in security and we will not retreat from our legal rights.

Sardar Fadavi, the deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards, also said at the meeting: The Imam spoke about Palestine in his first speeches and continued this path in the years after the revolution, and then Imam Khamenei took it.
Fadavi continued: The global arrogance, led by the United States, has been openly waging war against the Islamic Revolution and against the truth for forty-four years and they acknowledge it.
He added: The film of resistance is an important weapon that can do the work of hundreds of speeches and dozens of books. Therefore, we must use it to prevent the success of the arrogant hostilities.
Fadavi continued: You artists must gain your share of the front of truth and, in the first stage, do the work for yourself. So, when someone does the work for themselves, they must do it in the best possible way.
The deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards added: The festival, which has been held seventeen times so far and has been very well received this time too, is a sign of the victory of the front of truth against falsehood.
Fadavi continued: The Resistance Film Festival can be placed at the top of all the festivals in the world by receiving support because it has lofty goals and is a front of truth.
He continued: The false front knows that it is not sustainable and will not remain, but its wild nature and bullying will cause it to struggle until the last moment.
Fadavi continued: It is important to think about ourselves in the other world because in the other world there is only us and God and the deeds that will answer our accounts. So we must be on the front of truth and defend the resistance.
The deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards continued: If we have an acceptable record on the resistance front, it shows that we have been thinking about ourselves.
He added: The main factor in success in any activity is the human budget, and the Islamic world has a good share of this budget because it has a very capable statistical community, and if they work with great conviction, the desired results will undoubtedly be achieved.
Fadavi stated that when God’s promise is true, we should fight for it and try to increase our share in this front. He said: “The result is not the work of people, but the work of God. So you do the work of truth and trust in God, who will do the main and great serpent. This rule is also achieved in cinema. We just have to be careful to be on God’s front in order to win.” He added: “Since cinema and images have a very important and effective share in the growth and following of the resistance and truth front, how better to get our share from it.” Fadavi continued: “The principle and essence of the text of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to protect and support the oppressed and the resistance front. This principle has progressed to the point where it brought the Americans to their knees in the Persian Gulf and the whole world saw its image. You can do the same in the world of cinema.” He stated that we should hold a resistance film festival in Palestine soon because the Zionist regime will not see its 80th anniversary, adding: They are thinking of a new place in the world, knowing that they will not leave their 80th anniversary behind, while the whole world has become so aware that they will be deceived by them.
Emphasizing the important role of cinema people in spreading the culture of resistance, Fadavi added: Cinematographers can reveal the truth with their works and defend the right and resist the false front. Do not doubt that if you are on the right front, you will win.
He continued: Although we are not superior to the arrogant superpowers of the world in terms of military and knowledge, we see their willingness to exploit our military equipment and knowledge because we did the work for God and the truth, so do not doubt that we can stand by our work with this belief in all matters and make our efforts global.
The deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards concluded by saying: We expect a huge leap in the Resistance Festival in the coming years so that its films will be sought after and seen all over the world.
The 17th International Resistance Film Festival is being held in various main sections (Martyr Hajj Qasem Soleimani Award), selected works in the Sacred Defense Section (Late Rasool Molla Qolipour Award), selected works in the World Without Israel Section (Martyr Emad Mughniyeh Award), selected works in the Generation of Narrative Section (Martyr Mohsen Hojaji Award), selected works in the Screenplay Section (Martyr Seyyed Morteza Avini Award), and the Perspective Section (Economic Feature Works of Young Filmmakers).
It is worth noting that; Honoring the family of Martyr General Hossein Gholami was another program of the ceremony.
